Howard's ...apology?
Apparently Desmond Howard "misspoke" during last night's bowl preview on ESPN. He didn't mean to say Cal was playing Texas in the Holiday Bowl, nor did he intend to say that he was looking forward to the key matchup between Cal's WR DeSean Jackson and Thorpe Award winner, Aaron Ross. He certainly didn't mean to throw in the added drama about Texas backup QB transferring to Ole Miss with Colt McCoy's status still in doubt. According to Dez, his mouth had a well-informed mind of its own for about 23 seconds last night.

Herringbonehead and nelsonthenitwit both show what morons they are by thinking this is such a big thing that would merit one to question Desmond Howard's intelligence.
Let me just type something for you two hate mongers to suck on. Desmond Howard won the Heisman, played in the NFL and is on ESPN as an analyst, things you will never be able to accomplish.
I'd love to see you two on TV so that we can tear apart every mistake you make.

That is some sharp analysis, ESPN is definitely getting their money's worth! A mistake is mispronouncing a player's name, getting tongue-tied, or even having a Dan Marion-esque metldown. Howard gave an insightful analysis on a matchup that existed only in his head. You would think someone who won the Heisman, played in the NFL, won a Super Bowl MVP (did you forget that one numb nuts?), and is a PAID ESPN ANALYST would be able to - I don't know - read the farking TV Guide?

The guy is an idiot. Giving his analysis of the game wasn't a surprise to him. They didn't spring the question on him and ask him to make remarks on the fly. That I could excuse. No, he was responsible, as part of his job, to research the matchup ahead of time and come up with WRITTEN COPY which he read off the teleprompter. This is not flubbing a line or being confused about an off the cuff question. This guy had time to prepare and answer and write it down, and still got it wrong. DU mass!!
